Wendy has spent many years exploring the various art forms and means of art expression. Through her experience in painting and charcoal sketching she was commissioned to provide the trophies for the 2000 Canadian National Specialty. This encompassed 23 original works of art ranging from a 11 x 14 inch sketch of a Shih Tzu's profile to paintings on Newfoundland slate, keepsake boxes and ornaments.

In 2004, Wendy was commissioned by the American Shih Tzu Club to paint originals on individual Christmas tree ornaments as a fund-raiser for the Ways and Means division of the Club. In between, Wendy has done individual requests from clients for paintings, sketches and silk screening of various breeds of dogs and horses.
